Springfield Tours
Your
guide will help you discover unknown Lincoln History from
the first place he lived to the first place he was buried,
his days on the prairies of Illinois, his election as
Congressman, life in Springfield as a lawyer, his departure
to become the 16th President of the United States, to his
return to Oak Ridge Cemetery as a final resting place.
Your party will also
experience the elegance of the new Abraham Lincoln
Presidential Library and Museum. This statuesque landmark
has become part of the Springfield, Illinois landscape. This
is a fitting tribute for Abraham Lincoln.
New Salem Tours
We
can stop at Lincoln’s New Salem - A re-created log village
where Lincoln spent close to 7 years. At New Salem you’ll
see how Lincoln lived, fell in love, became a store keeper,
postmaster and soldier. At the Long Nine Museum you’ll see
where Lincoln actually surveyed a road and with 6 others
spoke at a dinner in his honor in Athens, Illinois years
later to commemorate the moving of the State Capital to
Springfield.
This is an historical and
educational tour that covers all of Abraham Lincoln’s life
in Springfield, New Salem and Athens, Illinois. Group Tours are by
appointment only. We offer
